My story
A BACP-registered counsellor and certified play therapist with over 20 years of experience supporting emotional wellbeing in children, teenagers and adults.
Hello, I'm Katy. I'm a BACP-registered counsellor and certified play therapist, and I've spent over 20 years supporting emotional wellbeing in children, teenagers and adults.
My path into therapy began with a deep interest in people and a strong belief that everyone deserves to feel seen, heard and supported. Whether I'm working with a child using play and creativity or sitting with an adult or teenager in a quiet, reflective space, my focus is on building a safe and trusting relationship where real change can happen.
Over the years, I've worked across a wide range of settings including schools, mental health services and private practice. My experience has taken me from the UK and Guernsey to international schools in China and Spain. These roles have shaped me both personally and professionally, giving me insight into the different ways people experience challenge, culture and connection.
No matter who I'm working with, my approach is gentle, grounded and responsive. I believe that healing comes from feeling safe enough to explore what's going on inside, whether through words, creativity or quiet presence. Therapy looks different for everyone, and I will always adapt my approach to meet you or your child where you are.
If you're looking for someone who will listen without judgement and work alongside you with care and honesty, I'd be very glad to hear from you.
My mission is to provide compassionate, personalised therapeutic support that empowers children, teenagers, and adults to better understand themselves, navigate challenges, and grow with confidence — emotionally, socially, and personally.
